Alex Suh is currently the head of Samsung Core Team(SCT) at Edelman Korea. He joined Edelman Korea on 23rd of Oct. 2023.
Before joining Edelman Korea, he received a master's degree in communication studies from the University of Missouri, USA. He was account executive for Samsung Electronics’ GMO, wireless division, VD division, and semiconductor division at Cheil Worldwide global headquarters from 2004 to 2007. He participated various Samsung’s global campaigns, exhibitions (IFA, CES, Cebit), and sports sponsorships (Olympic, Chelsea FC, Nations League).
From 2007 to 2022, for more than 15 years, he was global marketing director at Hankook Tire. From 2009 to 2018, he worked as an expatriate at Hankook Tire's European headquarters (Frankfurt, Germany) and was positioned as IMC head. He has deep knowledge and insight into the EMEA market and consumers. He also has strong networks with global companies like Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, Adidas, Volkswagen, Heineken, Fedex, and Enterprise. He conducted diverse co-marketing with these global top brands.
In addition, he recently worked as head of marketing at an e-commerce start-up company that mainly focuses on the APAC market. Recently, he was a strategic marketing consultant for various companies/industries such as automotive, FMCG, and chemicals, and also served as a legislative advisory member at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
Alex Suh, with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, PR, and IMC in various industries, is expected to significantly contribute to the expansion and growth of Edelman's global business with Samsung clients.
